Jayant Kumar

Jayant Kumar is a Principal Scientist at Adobe since December 2017, specializing in multimodal intent understanding, custom LLM tuning, and knowledge graph-based recommendations. Previous roles at Adobe include Sr. Staff ML Applied Scientist and Staff Machine Learning Applied Scientist, where responsibilities included user intent modeling and developing machine learning frameworks. Jayant has also served as a mentor for aspiring machine learning engineers at Springboard, guiding them through capstone projects in various domains including medical image segmentation and machine translation. Prior experience includes positions at Apple, PARC, and several research internships, focusing on deep learning applications in autonomous technologies and image processing. Jayant holds both MS and PhD degrees in Computer Vision from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from RV College of Engineering.
