Matthew Carlson is a seasoned design leadership professional with extensive experience in user experience and product design across major technology companies. Currently serving as the Director of User Experience Design at Adobe since November 2017, Matthew focuses on education initiatives and leads the design of Adobe Fresco and Adobe Fonts. Previous roles include Director of Product Design for Business Products at Twitter, where collaboration with engineering and product management drove strategic product development, and Product Design Manager at Facebook, leading project teams to create innovative advertising products. Earlier career highlights include leading experience strategy at Hot Studio and multidisciplinary brand experience work at Continuum. Matthew co-founded Dept 3, Inc. and played a significant role in brand development at Phoenix Pop Productions. With a BA in English and an Art Minor from the University of California, Berkeley, and additional studies at the Academy of Art University, Matthew combines a strong educational background with a proven track record of collaboration and creativity across various design disciplines.
