Mingze Xu

Mingze Xu is an accomplished Senior Applied Scientist at Adobe since September 2025, focusing on research and innovation in multimodal GenAI at Adobe Firefly. Previously, Mingze served as a Machine Learning Engineer at Apple, contributing to the development of the Apple Foundation Model with an emphasis on multimodal post-training. Mingze held the position of Senior Applied Scientist II at Cruise, where work centered around building Multimodal Foundation Models for autonomous vehicle perception. Prior experience includes roles as an Applied Scientist II at Amazon Web Services, specializing in video understanding research with several publications in prestigious conferences such as NeurIPS, CVPR, and ICCV. Mingze also gained research experience as an intern at Microsoft and Honda Research Institute USA. Mingze holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Indiana University Bloomington and served as a Visiting Student Researcher at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
