Shivakumar Vaithyanathan

Shivakumar Vaithyanathan currently serves as Vice President of Platform Engineering, Architecture & AI and Chief Architect for the Adobe Experience Platform, where responsibilities include overseeing architecture and innovation for the platform that integrates various data into real-time customer profiles using AI-driven insights. Prior to Adobe, Shivakumar held the position of IBM Fellow at Watson AI, contributing to the design and development of Watson Compare & Comply, which grew significantly in its impact and reach. Previously, Shivakumar founded the Machine Learning & NLP department at IBM Research - Almaden, leading groundbreaking research and product development in the fields of natural language processing and machine learning. Shivakumar's career at IBM began in 1998, focusing on the creation of semantic search models. Shivakumar holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Operations Research.
