Mark Fitzpatrick

Mark Fitzpatrick has extensive work experience in embedded systems engineering and software development. Mark started their career as a Software Engineer at Litton Applied Technology in 1995, where they developed software for a Radar Warning Receiver. Mark then moved on to work as a Senior Software Engineer at Motorola Smart Card Division, where they were responsible for firmware design and implementation for RFID/Proximity subsystems.

In 1998, Mark joined Scitor Corporation as a Software Engineer, working as a consultant for Applied Signal Technology. Mark was involved in designing, coding, unit testing, and supporting integration tests for real-time embedded signal processing subsystems.

From 2000 to 2011, Mark worked as a Staff Engineer at Applied Signal Technology, where they were responsible for software and system design. Mark also served as a Section Manager, overseeing a team of software engineers.

In 2000, Mark also worked as a Senior Software Development Engineer Contractor at Viewgraphics Inc, developing embedded software solutions for MPEG2 system products. Mark then joined Intuitive Surgical in 2011 as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to OnSite and network security for da Vinci Surgical System products.

From 2016 to 2019, Mark worked as a Linux Software Engineer at Echelon Corporation, developing Internet of Things software for embedded Linux platforms.

In 2019, Mark joined Ximedica as a Principal Software Engineer, leading a team of software engineers in designing and building software/firmware. Mark mentored junior staff, assisted hardware engineers, and documented and performed integration and testing activities. Mark also developed control algorithms and supported functional test requirements.

Since 2020, Mark has been working at Adona Medical as a Principal Embedded Systems Engineer.

Mark Fitzpatrick completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz in the years 1989 to 1991. Mark then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the same university from 1991 to 1993. Before this, they graduated from Santa Cruz High School in the class of '86, but no specific dates were provided for this education.
