Abbey Hartman is an experienced professional in the field of social services with a focus on homelessness and family support. Currently serving as the Diversion and Resource Program Manager at Adopt-A-Family of the Palm Beaches, Inc. since November 2016, Abbey has managed a 19-bed family shelter and organized wellness groups aimed at developing life skills for underprivileged families. Previous roles include Rapid Rehousing Case Manager at Gulfstream Goodwill Industries and Assistant Coordinator of Case Management at the Boston Public Health Commission. Abbey has also worked as an Emergency Shelter Case Manager at Bridge Over Troubled Waters, advocating for homeless young adults, and held various positions supporting homeless men and women, assisting with addiction services and securing permanent housing. Abbey holds a Bachelor’s degree in English/Secondary Education from Clemson University and a degree in Drug and Alcohol Counseling from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
