FamilyWorks Together & Adoptions Together is a nonprofit organization, supporting children and families formed through adoption (domestic and international), guardianship, foster care and kinship care. With locations in Maryland, Virginia and DC we offer unique services and expertise in family counseling, adoption, education, therapy and key public-private community partnerships.

We have touched the lives of more than 18,000 families and children since we were founded in 1990. We advocate for ALL children and their rights to reach their full potential in a lifelong and loving family environment. Our philosophy has always been one of children first. No child is ever turned away, regardless of age, race, need or disability. 

One of the most diverse private social service agencies in the Mid-Atlantic region, Adoptions Together is widely-regarded as a leader in the industry with its innovative programs for adoptive and reunified families, and comprehensive training programs for professionals. We are a respected partner of the District of Columbia Child and Family Services Agency, providing training and support for families moving from foster care to adoption. Other key partners included Freddie Mac, the University of Maryland, Montgomery County (Maryland) Public Schools, and county-based and state social services.
