Hon. Edward S. Harmening (Ret.)

Hon. Edward S. Harmening, (Ret.) serves as a Senior Mediator and Arbitrator at ADR Systems since September 2022. From 2008 to 2022, Harmening had a distinguished 14-year judicial career as a Law Division Judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County, holding roles in various sections including the Law Division Trial Section and the Municipal Division. Prior experience includes serving as Deputy Supervisor in the Civil Actions Bureau of the Cook County State's Attorney's Office from 2003 to 2008, and as a Senior Associate at Ellison, Nielson, Knibbs, Zehe & Antas from 2000 to 2003, along with an associative role at Clausen Miller P.C. from 1997 to 2000. Harmening earned a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Northern Illinois University.
