Amirah S. Salaam, Esq. has a diverse work experience in government relations and public policy. Amirah S. currently holds the position of Vice President, Head of Global Government Relations at Adtalem Global Education. Prior to this, they worked at King & Spalding as a Government Relations Advisor in the Government Advocacy and Public Policy Practice. Amirah S. also served as the Vice President of Government Relations & Public Policy at Virginia Union University and as a Gov't Relations Counsel & Program Director at the National School Boards Association. Additionally, they held positions such as Senior Director of Public Policy at NAFSA: Association of International Educators and Consultant, Outreach and Advocacy at the American Dental Education Association. Amirah S.'searly career includes serving as a Legislative Counsel in the U.S. Congress and as a Legislative Fellow at the Office of Congressman Kendrick B. Meek.

Amirah S. Salaam, Esq. has a diverse educational background. Amirah S. obtained their Juris Doctor degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where they studied from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they attended George Mason University from 1998 to 2002, majoring in Government and International Politics. In 2001-2002, they had the opportunity to participate in an Honors Program with Oxford's New College in the UK, focusing on British Politics and Foreign Policy. In 2017, they completed a specialized Certification in Nonprofit Management through Georgetown University. Most recently, in 2018, they obtained a Certificate from the Women's Campaign School at Yale.
