Balaji Purushothaman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Balaji started their career as a Project Trainee at TCS in 1998. Balaji then worked at Wipro Technologies as a System Architect for 10 years, where they managed a team of 15 members, recruited talent, and built new teams. Balaji was also involved in bids and new proposals for projects during their time at Wipro. After that, Balaji joined Nokia in 1999 as a System Architect, where they worked for 9 years. Their responsibilities included serving as a technical consultant in Alcatel-Lucent, leading a 15-member team, and contributing to project bids and proposals. Since 2009, Balaji has been working at ADTRAN, starting as a Senior Software Engineer and progressing to roles such as Advanced Software Engineer, Product Owner, and Software Architect. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Product Manager/Architect in the Technology & Strategy department at ADTRAN.

Balaji Purushothaman holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from PSG Tech, India. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Madras University, India. Additionally, Balaji has obtained several certifications including Certified SAFe® POPM 4 Product Owner/Product Manager from Adtran, Machine Learning and Software Defined Networking from Coursera, and Sun Core-Java Certification from Sun Microsystems.
