Christian Rieder

Christian Rieder currently serves as the SVP General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at Adtran since January 2023. Prior to this role, Christian held various positions at ADVA Optical Networking SE from December 2002 to December 2023, including SVP General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer, VP Commercial Management, Deputy General Counsel & Director of Intellectual Property Rights, and General Counsel for ADVA Optical Networking North America Inc. Christian began his legal career as a Legal Counsel at Compaq Computer Corporation from September 1999 to November 2002 and worked as an Associate at SNP Schlawien from November 1997 to August 1999. Christian is admitted to the bar in the State of New York since August 2007 and in Munich since September 1997. Educational qualifications include an LL.M. in Intellectual Property from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, a 2nd state examination in Law from the District Court of Aschaffenburg, and a State Bar Exam in Legal from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg.
