Marc Kimpe is an experienced leader in the field of research and development, currently serving as the Senior Vice-President at ADTRAN since March 1998, where responsibilities include heading the global R&D organization. Prior roles at ADTRAN encompass Vice President positions overseeing engineering efforts, including the development of an open architecture software-defined networking and network function virtualization management solution, as well as portfolio management within the Carrier Networks Division. Kimpe has extensive management experience, overseeing multiple engineering groups and initiatives, such as Agile development processes and code virtualization projects. In addition to these roles, contributions to standardization efforts were made as a Senior Staff Scientist, alongside editorial positions in international standardization bodies. Kimpe holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from McGill University.
