Gregory Bates

Gregory Bates is a Compliance Lead at Aduna Global since May 2025, bringing extensive expertise in corporate compliance, particularly in anti-corruption programming and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Prior to this role, Bates served as a Member and Counsel at Miller & Chevalier Chartered from March 2017 to July 2025, focusing on corporate compliance and white-collar matters. Bates held significant positions at Avon from May 2011 to February 2017, including Regional Compliance Director for Latin America, where leadership in the Global Compliance program was emphasized. Earlier experience includes serving as an Associate at Squire Sanders, specializing in FCPA and OFAC regulations from September 2007 to May 2011, and a summer associate at the Inter-American Development Bank in 2005. Bates holds a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies and a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, with a thesis centered on corruption and human rights.
