Emma Jones

Emma Jones has a wealth of experience in the legal field, primarily in academia. Emma is currently a Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Sheffield, where they also serve as the Director of Student Wellbeing for the School of Law. Their research interests include emotions and wellbeing in legal education and the legal profession, while their teaching focuses on the law of obligations, digital lawyering, and law tech. Prior to joining the University of Sheffield, Emma worked as a Senior Lecturer in Law at The Open University, where they were the Teaching Director and also created and directed the Faculty of Business and Law's scholarship center. Emma has also worked as a Solicitor at various law firms, including Trowers & Hamlins, Pannone & Partners, and Manches. Emma holds the position of Principal Fellow at Advance HE.

Emma Jones has a strong educational background. Emma obtained a Doctor degree in Emotions in legal education from Keele University, where they studied from 2010 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Post-Compulsory Education and Training from The Manchester Metropolitan University in 2009. In 2005, they completed their Master of Science - MS in Construction Law and Arbitration at Leeds Metropolitan University. Emma also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Nottingham Trent University, which they obtained in 1999. Emma began their academic journey by completing a Master of Arts - MA in Politics and Contemporary History from The University of Salford in 1998. Lastly, they graduated with a BA (Joint Hons) in Law and Politics from the University of Nottingham in 1997.
