Michael A. Cowling serves as an Associate Professor in Information and Communication Technology at CQUniversity since November 2003, recognized for significant contributions to teaching and research. Throughout the tenure, Michael has held various leadership roles, including Senior Lecturer and Discipline Leader in areas such as Mobile Computing and Business Analysis. Michael is also the Executive Director of The Create Lab by Professor Tech, providing educational support and innovative technology workshops. In addition to current roles, Michael holds positions as President of ASCILITE, Vice President of the Open Access Publishing Association, and has been appointed as a TEQSA expert. Michael's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Information Technology and an MBA, complemented by longstanding involvement in Toastmasters and Golden Key International Honour Society.
