Jacob Steimer

Jacob Steimer is a seasoned communications professional with a diverse background in journalism and marketing. Currently serving as the Marketing, Communications, and Grants Manager at Advance Memphis since August 2024, Jacob previously worked as a Reporter at MLK50: Justice Through Journalism from June 2021 to August 2024, managing long-term projects and engaging with a variety of communities. Prior to that, Jacob held the position of Lead Reporter at Memphis Business Journal from February 2017 to June 2021, where mentoring and simplifying complex topics were key responsibilities. Jacob began the professional journey as a Reporter for Nashville Business Journal and later gained valuable experience as an intern at The Charlotte Observer, where a significant investigative story earned multiple awards. Jacob holds dual degrees in Journalism and Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
