Dr. Carrera is the Low Carbon Energy Advisor for BP in Applied Sciences. His areas of expertise are in chemical engineering, chemistry, and chemical physics. His research interests include the modification of oil-water-rock surface properties by biologically produced molecules and their application to Enhanced Oil Recovery. Dr. Carrera has led research in this area for over one decade.
