John McCarthy

John McCarthy is a Learning Innovation Architect at Opening Paths, with extensive experience in education spanning over three decades. Current roles include Education Blogger for Edutopia, Adjunct Professor at Madonna University, and Education Consultant for Advanced Learning Partnerships. Previously, John served as a National Faculty Member at the Buck Institute for Education and Director of Programs and Instructional Services for the W-A-Y Program, among other positions. John holds an Ed.S. in Education Leadership from Wayne State University, an MS in English from SUNY Geneseo, and a BS in Social Studies from Illinois State University. Expertise includes differentiated instruction, project-based learning, and supporting at-risk student populations.
