Ruven Pelka

Ruven Pelka has a diverse work experience in web development and design. From 2016 onwards, they worked as the Head of Web Development at Advanced Media Solutions. Ruven was responsible for meeting with clients, guiding them through the development process, and presenting the finished products. Ruven worked on WordPress sites, eCommerce solutions with WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Shopify, and developed WordPress plugins. Additionally, they built APIs from scratch and managed large amounts of data on AWS.

Prior to that, from 2011, they worked as a Freelancer at RuvenThemes, where they developed WordPress themes and plugins for clients and sold them on digital marketplaces. Ruven also designed web apps and internal tools for clients in Germany and Switzerland.

Before that, from 2009 to 2010, they were the Head of Web Development at Borgmeier Media Gruppe GmbH, one of the biggest PR agencies in Germany. In this role, they managed daily operations, improved front-end design and development, and planned and developed web applications using MVC frameworks.

In 2008, Ruven Pelka co-founded their own web design and development company called Polyon - Würdemann & Pelka OHG. Ruven designed websites according to clients' needs and created database-supported web services.

Starting from 2004 to 2007, they worked as a Creative Director at Werbeagentur Ahlmann GmbH. Their responsibilities included consulting clients and developing marketing strategies in print and web. During this time, they also gained experience in CSS, MySQL, and PHP programming for web projects.

Ruven Pelka completed their high school education from Integrierte Gesamtschule, from 1995 to 2001, earning a High School Diploma. Ruven then pursued further studies in Computer Science at BBS II Kerschensteiner Schule Delmenhorst, where they obtained an Advanced Technical College Certificate from 2001 to 2004.
