Gowtham Ramesh

Gowtham Ramesh is an Applied Research Scientist at AMD, specializing in reinforcement learning post-training, LLM pretraining, finetuning, and synthetic data generation. Previously, Gowtham held roles such as Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they focused on open domain question answering and multilinguality, and Post Baccalaureate Fellow at the Robert Bosch Centre for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at IIT Madras, concentrating on multilingual NLP and large-scale neural machine translation. Gowtham also has experience as a Student Researcher at Google, a Research Scholar at AI4Bharat, and held various positions in machine learning and software development across multiple institutions. Gowtham earned a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Technology from the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli.
