James Fry has extensive experience in the semiconductor and graphics technology sectors, currently serving as Corporate Vice President for GPU Technologies and Engineering Hardware IP at AMD since January 2007. Fry has held multiple leadership roles at AMD, including directing the SoC development for next-generation GPUs and leading projects within the Semi-Custom Business Unit for Microsoft console APUs. A notable achievement includes managing multinational teams on large-scale projects such as Kaveri and Kaveri2.0 APUs. Prior to AMD, Fry was a Senior Manager at ATI, where significant contributions were made in SOC design for integrated graphics chipsets. Fry earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Queen's University.
