Rodrigo Urra is an experienced graphics software engineer with a strong background in developing and analyzing tools for advanced graphics technologies. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at AMD since November 2020, Rodrigo leads the GFXReconstruct tool team focused on ray-traced DX12 workloads. Prior to this role, Rodrigo contributed to Intel Corporation as a Senior Graphics Software Engineer on the Intel Graphics Performance Analyzers tools team. Earlier experiences at AMD involved leadership positions related to Radeon tools and innovations in graphics APIs, including work on the Mantle API that influenced Direct3D 12 and Vulkan. Rodrigo's career also includes roles as a Rendering Engineer at Studio GPU and software engineering internships at Xerox, complemented by a Master’s and Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
