Shashank Sirsi

Attained his BS in Biomedical Engineering at the University of California at San Diego in 2002 and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Drexel University in 2007. Dr. Sirsi continued his post-doctoral studies at Columbia University in 2007 where he studied microbubbles for drug delivery, 2D and 3D ultrasound imaging and tissue scaffolds. Dr. Sirsi has developed advanced methods of quantitative perfusion imaging in tumors for image-guided drug delivery and developed microbubbles for in vivo monitoring of tumor perfusion, in vivo molecular imaging, and for ultrasound-guided drug delivery to solid tumors. Dr Sirsi is currently an Assistant Professor at the Biomedical Engineering department of the University of Texas, Dallas.
