Mattia Fornaser

Mattia Fornaser has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Mattia began their career at LeA Antenne & Progetti SpA as a Sales Assistant, where they focused on developing relationships with international customers and providing technical proofreading for company catalogues.

Mattia then transitioned to Precision Microdrives Ltd as a Senior Quality Engineer, specializing in the development of automatic test machines for characterizing and ensuring the quality control of various motor components. Mattia also worked closely with customers to find optimal solutions for their needs.

Following this, Mattia joined PMD Engineering Limited as a Senior Instrumentation Engineer, where they continued to develop automatic test machines for characterizing and ensuring the quality control of various motor components. Mattia utilized National Instruments LabVIEW software and also designed and prototyped custom printed circuit boards using Cadsoft EAGLE.

Mattia then moved on to MF Test Machines as an Instrumentation Engineer, where they focused on designing and developing instrumentation for the control and data collection of automated test machines, as well as motor controllers.

At RØDE Microphones, Mattia held the role of Quality Control Engineer, responsible for conducting quality control checks on products, identifying and quarantining non-conforming parts, and collaborating with engineers and suppliers to resolve quality issues in a timely manner.

Currently, Mattia works at Advanced Navigation as a Software Engineer. In this role, they write C/C++ code for high-end sensor and navigation devices, implements real-time algorithms for control and estimation, and incorporates academic research into production-level embedded software.

Throughout their career, Mattia has demonstrated expertise in production, quality control, instrument design, and software development.

Mattia Fornaser has a strong educational background in the field of Electronic Engineering. Mattia obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering from Università degli Studi di Padova, where they studied from 2003 to 2006. Following that, they pursued a Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering from the same university from 2006 to 2009.

During their studies, Mattia also participated in an ERASMUS program and studied Electronic Engineering at the University of Aberdeen in 2007 and 2008.

In terms of additional certifications, Mattia Fornaser has acquired several relevant qualifications. In 2019, they completed a Python Data Science program offered by edX | IBM. Later that year, they also obtained a certification in Six Sigma and Lean: Quantitative Tools for Quality and Productivity from edX | Technische Universität München.

Furthermore, in 2021, Mattia obtained the IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies Certification from IPC, and in 2022, they completed a course on Embedded Programming with Modern C++ offered by Educative, Inc.

Mattia Fornaser also expanded their skill set by completing a Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business and Administration from Creating Career College in 2012 and a Level 2 ITQ Certificate in IT User Skills from Havering College in 2011 and 2012.

Lastly, it should be noted that before embarking on their higher education journey, Mattia obtained a Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunications from ITIS G. Marconi - Verona in 2003.
