Michael Betz

Mike Betz is a Managing Partner for the Purchasing Authority, where he is responsible for driving APD’s strategy to help manufacturers prepare for digital transformation and Purchasing 4.0. Mike is leading the efforts to enhance the product portfolio by opening the industry cost models to customers and transforming the company into a service provider of cost/purchasing based services.

Prior to joining APD, Mike was COO of FACTON, a global software company focused on Enterprise Product Costing. In his role, Mike led the start-up of FACTON’s North America operations where he created the go-to-market strategy, built a new team and developed the North America market for FACTON.

Mike was also the Regional Vice President for Infor’s North America automotive practice, where he successfully led the team to year-over-year double digit growth. In his tenure, the team produced record years of sales in the automotive market by delivering enterprise supply chain systems to major global automotive suppliers.

With 25+ years in costing and supply chain experience, Mike has held positions of increasing responsibility and is on the board of directors for the Institute of Management Accounts (IMA) Detroit Chapter. He is also a part of the board leadership team at Advanced Purchasing Dynamics.
