Matthew Parks

Matthew Parks has garnered extensive experience in education and technology-related roles. Currently serving as a Cyber Navigator at Advanced Resources since March 2019, Matthew assists patrons with computer inquiries, provides one-on-one tutoring, instructs technology classes, and engages in community outreach. Concurrently, Matthew has been an Elementary School Teacher with Chicago Public Schools since September 2018. Previous roles include Visitor Services at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and IT Ambassador for the Chatham Business Association, where Matthew promoted computer services among local businesses. Matthew began a career in healthcare as an LPN Student at St. Bernard Hospital, focusing on palliative care and the development of medical protocols. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Chicago State University, completed in 2017, and a high school diploma from Gwendolyn Brooks College Prep Academy.
