Laurent Clauser

Laurent Clauser is an accomplished finance and risk management professional with extensive experience in the microfinance sector. Currently serving as Group Chief Risk Officer at Advans Microfinance Network since January 2018, Laurent oversees risk management across nine countries in Africa and Asia, managing a portfolio of EUR 1 billion. Previously, as COO and Co-founder of Advans Tunisie, Laurent successfully led the institution to profitability within a short timeframe, while also being co-founder and Deputy COO at Advans Côte d'Ivoire, where Laurent was instrumental in establishing operational frameworks and credit products. Laurent's career began in consulting, with roles at HORUS Development Finance, Atos Consulting, and international NGOs, focusing on finance, administration, and public sector modernization. Laurent holds a Master's degree in Finance and Management from HEC Paris and a Licence in Politics from Université Paris Nanterre.
