Tim Affolter possesses extensive experience in engineering, with a focus on application and controls engineering. Since April 2005, Tim has served as a Senior Application Engineer at Advantage Industrial Automation. Prior to this role, Tim worked at Control Corporation of America as an Application Engineer from April 1994 to April 2004, and at GEC Automation as a Controls Engineer from April 1981 to April 1991. Tim began the career as a wiring technician, progressing to the Test Department as a Test/Repair Technician and later Supervisor. Tim's service in the U.S. Coast Guard from March 1978 to March 1981 included the role of Electricians Mate, with notable achievements in training and service aboard cutters in various locations. Tim earned an Associate's Degree in Industrial Electronics Technology/Technician from Crandall Technical College between 1984 and 1986.
