Dave VanLaar

A mechanical engineer (P.Eng) by education, with significant experience (15+ years) in gas compression & manufacturing, David VanLaar is currently tasked with the day to day operations of all AdvanTec Global Innovations (AGI) companies/divisions. At AGI he has operational oversight and P & L responsibility of both the marine and the industrial divisions. This enables him to make strategic decisions for the entire organization. David has extensive experience managing complex projects from their inception through their completion.

David’s history with AdvanTec starts with AGI’s predecessor (IMW). While at IMW, he was an integral member of the team that made IMW one of Canada’s first “clean tech” success stories. Within AdvanTec David is a recognized leader who is eager to share his knowledge and experience with his colleagues and external partners. Complimenting AdvanTec’s flexibility and nimbleness, David encourages his teams to look beyond the obvious and pursue opportunities outside AdvanTec’s perceived capabilities. In this role he also provides both technical and professional guidance to his teams that enables project/program success.
