Alvaro Serrano Sacristán has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Alvaro began their career as a Key Account Manager at Roche Vitaminas in 1999, where they developed the human nutrition market in Spain and Portugal. Alvaro then moved to Roche as a Key Account Manager and later became the National Sales Manager from 2003 to 2010. Following this, they worked as a Regional Access Manager at Gilead Sciences from 2010 to 2013. Alvaro then joined Merck Group as a Key Institutional Manager from 2014 to 2015, followed by a role as a Key Account Manager at Vertex Pharmaceuticals where they managed key accounts at hospital and regional health authorities levels. Alvaro also worked at Merck as a Senior National Market Access Manager from 2015 to 2016. Alvaro then transitioned to Intercept Pharmaceuticals as a Market Access & Government Affairs Director. Finally, they joined ADVANZ PHARMA as the Senior Director of Market Access & Corporate Affairs in 2016.
Alvaro Serrano Sacristán graduated from IE Business School in 2010 with a degree in I Programa Política Sanitaria y RRII. In 2003, they also obtained an MBA from IE Business School, specializing in Business Administration. Prior to that, they attended Universidad Complutense de Madrid from 1983 to 1988, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceuticals.
