Martin Gerwe

Martin Gerwe has over 20 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Their current role is as an Executive Director of Medical Affairs and MSPV DACH at ADVANZ PHARMA. Previously, they held various positions at Ipsen Pharma GmbH, including the Director of Business Unit Neurosciences and Medical & Regulatory Director DACH. Prior to that, they worked at Janssen, Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson and Johnson, as the Director of Therapeutic Area CNS, Virology & Urology. Martin also gained experience at Janssen-Cilag GmbH as an Associate Director in Therapeutic Area Psychiatry & Neurology and as a Medical Affairs Manager CNS. Martin began their career at Takeda Pharmaceuticals as a Medical Manager and Medical Advisor in Internal Medicine. Martin started their professional journey as a Resident in Internal Medicine at Marienhospital Gelsenkirchen.

Martin Gerwe completed their Executive MBA from Mannheim Business School in 2015. Martin also pursued Humanmedizin und Promotion (Dr. med) at the University of Duisburg-Essen, and conducted a Promotionsarbeit - Institut für Pharmakologie und Toxikologie at Technische Universität Dresden. Additionally, they studied Humanmedizin at Ruhr University Bochum.
