Jiaxin Zhang has worked in the biopharmaceutical industry since 2010. In 2010, they began their career as Medical Director at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. In 2014, they moved to Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as Medical Director. In 2017, they joined Silas Life Sciences Group as Chief Medical Officer. In 2021, they became Chief Medical Officer at Advaxis, Inc. In their roles, they have focused on developing novel therapies for a broad range of cancer indications, actively suppressing key components in the tumor microenvironment, and applying a science-driven, patient-forward approach to drug development.

Jiaxin Zhang began their education in 1997 when they attended New York Medical College and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. jiaxin then attended Stanford University from 2001 to 2005, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business and Finance. Finally, Jiaxin attended the National University of Mexico from 2005 to 2010 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences.
