David Buhan is the CEO of Advens, a European independent cybersecurity leader, a position held since 2018. Previously at Gemalto (2009–2012), they served as Senior VP Gemalto Global Services, leading a 700-engineer team across 15 offices and overseeing presales technical support, project deployment, support and maintenance, and managed services for Gemalto Telecom products. They also held the Senior VP Mobile and IoT Services and Wireless R&D Director roles, led a business line generating more than 200 million euros in revenue, and oversaw a 300-engineer R&D team across France, Singapore, and China. They earned a Master’s degree in Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley in 1996.
