Tony Hanberg has had a varied career in the software industry. Tony began their career in 1998 as a Projectionist at Astoria. In 2000, they worked as a Freelance Java Developer for Mindpass A/S. From 2004 to 2007, they were a Senior Programmer at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, where they worked to support researchers through complex and innovative systems necessary for national and international clinical trial research. In 2007, they worked as a Consultant for USC, where they designed and developed a portal for genomics research. From 2008 to 2016, they were a Senior Consultant, Senior Associate, and Associate III at Resource Systems Group, where they designed and developed a travel survey data portal for Maricopa Association of Governments and a web portal for Puget Sound Regional Council for the Transportation 2040 action plan. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Consultant at Solution Design Group, where they created an API integration with the tileshop.com eCommerce site. Currently, they are the Product Engineering Lead at Advent eModal, a position they have held since 2022.

Tony Hanberg attended Haderslev Katedral Skole from 1994 to 1998, where they studied Math and English. Tony then attended Aalborg University from 1998 to 2001, where they received a BS in Computer Science. Finally, they attended Roskilde University from 2001 to 2004, where they received an MS in Math & Computer Science. Additionally, Tony is Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from the Scrum Alliance.
