Advent is a Presbyterian Church serving Memphis and Shelby County, Tennessee. It mission is, "As disciples, to cause God great Joy by sharing his love with others as we have seen it in Jesus Christ." We do this as we exalt God in worship, equip disciples in small groups and classes, evangelize our communities, embrace one another in love, empower our members and others to engage in mission and seek excellence in all we do. Advent has a special heart for children, youth and families. We have worked tirelessly in recent years to become a missional congregation, and we now support and engage in mission from Memphis and Shelby county, Tennessee to Mexico, Honduras, Ghana and the Philippines. We pray that God will allow us to continue our mission in the places where God has called us to serve him.
