Matthew Chan

Matthew Chan, MD, MPH, FACOEM, is a distinguished medical professional with extensive experience in occupational and environmental medicine. Serving as the Medical Director for Occupational Medicine and Rapid Care at Adventist Health Glendale since February 2012, Matthew also holds the position of President at OccuMed Services, Inc. Involvement with the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine included a role on the Board of Directors and chairing the Membership Committee from January 2012 to 2018. Academic contributions include serving as a Clinical Instructor at Keck Medicine of USC and Loma Linda University, along with previous roles as an Attending Physician and Associate Medical Director at Loma Linda University. Matthew completed a residency as Chief Resident in Occupational & Environmental Medicine and served as a Resident Medical Officer with OSHA. Military experience includes service as a Lieutenant in the US Navy Medical Corps and training at Naval Medical Center San Diego. Matthew holds an MD from Loma Linda University, a Masters in Public Health in Lifestyle Medicine, and a dual Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology from UC Irvine.
