Dr. Ray Allen

Dr. Ray Allen has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Dr. Ray began their career in 1987 as a Pastor at the Willesden Seventh-day Adventist Church and later served as the Senior Pastor at the Hanwell Seventh-day Adventist Church. During this time, they focused on the development of youth work and was ordained as a pastor in 1991. In 1990, they became the Associate Youth Director and was responsible for overseeing youth work and Pathfinder activities in the South of England.

Dr. Allen also held positions in the South England Conference as Communication Director and later joined the South England Conference of Seventh-day Adventists as the Communication Director.

In 1993, Dr. Allen joined Adventist World Radio (AWR), where they held various roles including English Language Service Director, AWR Resource Centre Director, International Correspondent Manager, Human Resources Manager, and Associate Producer & Field Director of Making Waves TV Series. Dr. Ray also served as the Africa Region Director, General Vice President, and Global Training Director, where they directed and influenced the work of AWR studios and FM stations, established new studios and stations in Africa, and provided training to AWR staff worldwide. Additionally, they partnered with the BBC and other training providers to equip producers, technicians, and management staff.

Dr. Allen was a Charter Member of the Fellowship of European Broadcasters in 1994 and served as a member of the UK House of Lords Media Watchdog Committee from 1996 to 2003, where they worked alongside other media specialists to investigate and influence the implementation of strategies to improve the quality of moral content in the UK media.

Dr. Ray also worked as a Thames Valley Police Custody Visitor from 2000 to 2008, ensuring detainees' rights and welfare were upheld by the police.

Furthermore, Dr. Allen taught media courses at Newbold College of Higher Education as an Adjunct Lecturer from 1987 to 2007.

In 1995, Dr. Allen acquired an Advanced Certificate in Radio Feature Production from the BBC. In 1998, they completed a course on "How to train trainers" from the International Communication Training Institute, focusing on Education and Training. In 2002, they obtained a CompTIA A+ certification in Computer Building and Hardware from CompTIA.

More recently, Dr. Allen pursued further education in the field of Original Medicine. Dr. Ray earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Naturopathic Medicine/Naturopathy from the International Institute of Original Medicine between 2016 and 2021. Additionally, they obtained a Professional Diploma in Original Medicine (ND) from IIOM from 2015 to 2018.
