John Eielson is an experienced executive with a significant background in strategic leadership and board governance. Currently serving as a Board Member for Advertiser Perceptions and the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC), Eielson also holds the position of Co-CEO at Flat World Education, a digital-first college textbook publisher focused on affordable, high-quality content. Eielson's prior board roles include West Academic and Aspen Publishing, where strategic growth initiatives were developed. With extensive experience in consulting, including partnerships at Oliver Wyman and OC&C Strategy Consultants, Eielson co-founded the Boston office of OC&C. Eielson holds an M.B.A. from Yale School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
