Mariella Brown is currently the Senior Communications Manager at the Advertising Association. Prior to this, Mariella worked as a Press Officer at the Society of Editors and held various roles in events management and communications in organizations such as Film Festival Lumière and Madhouse Theatre. Mariella is a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a Master of Arts (M.A. Cantab) in English and has also studied French at Alliance Française de Lyon. Mariella has a strong background in communications, event coordination, and advocacy for freedom of expression.

The Advertising Association unites the UK’s advertising industry to promote the role and rights of responsible advertising – advertising that is trusted, inclusive and sustainable – and its value to people, society, businesses, and the economy. We are the only organisation that brings together agencies, brands and media to combine strengths and seek consensus on the issues that affect them. Through wide-reaching engagement and evidence-based debate we aim to build trust and maximise the value of advertising for all concerned.
