Ruslan Grishanin has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and research institutions. Ruslan currently holds the position of Vice President, Nonclinical Development at Adverum Biotechnologies, where they have been working since 2018. Prior to this, they have held various roles at the same company, including Executive Director, Director of Preclinical Development, Associate Director, and Principal Scientist.
Before joining Adverum Biotechnologies, Grishanin worked at Pfizer from 2008 to 2018, where they served as a Principal Scientist. In this role, they led in vitro pharmacology studies in oncology and managed collaborative efforts to develop and characterize bi-specific T cell engager antibody drug candidates.
Earlier in their career, Grishanin worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, San Francisco from 2002 to 2008, focusing on TrkB signaling in retina development and dopaminergic synapse regulation. Ruslan also held a Postdoctoral position at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1997 to 2002, and a Visiting Scientist position at the University of Oxford from 1993 to 1996.
Grishanin started their academic journey as a Graduate Student at Moscow State University from 1991 to 1993 and IBPPM RUS Saratov from 1989 to 1991.
Throughout their career, Grishanin has made significant contributions in preclinical and nonclinical development, specifically in the fields of gene therapy, oncology, and neuroscience.
Ruslan Grishanin earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) during the period of 1991 to 1993.
