Marc L. Russell

Marc Russell is a Founder and Principal of AdvicePeriod. Marc is responsible for simplifying clients’ financial lives while focusing on the issues that matter most to them. He has an affinity for complex tax and estate planning issues and has spent his career working with clients to design and implement comprehensive, sophisticated planning and investment strategies.

Marc began his career working with his co-founders at Convergent Wealth Advisors. Soon after joining Convergent, Marc relocated to Los Angeles for the launch of Convergent’s California office, where he played an integral role in its rapid growth by serving as a client advisor, building relationships with key centers of influence, and developing new business. In addition to serving as the primary advisor to many of the firm’s largest and most complex clients, Marc served on Convergent’s Leadership Committee.

Marc graduated from Amherst College cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and received his Masters in Business Administration with honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 65 license and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and he is a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles.
