Philip Gow is the founder, Chief Executive Officer and President of Advisory Platform Solutions. Recognizing the industry’s growing need for the next generation of financial planning, retirement and spenddown services, and customer relationship management, Mr. Gow created Advisory Platform Solutions to fill this niche. Mr. Gow continues to spearhead the company’s strategic direction and formulate APS’ primary objectives.
Since APS' inception, Mr. Gow has developed a consortium of best of breed technology suppliers to facilitate the development and deployment of next generation advisory platforms. These platforms include integrated portfolio management, customer contact and financial planning applications, and information services that support the activities of brokers, financial advisors, financial planners and registered representatives.
Prior to founding APS, Mr. Gow established and led the Wealth Management and Financial Planning practice at American Management Systems (currently AMS-CGI). In this capacity, Mr. Gow and his staff supported leading banking, investment, and insurance companies in the delivery of wealth management and advisory services to their clients in the mass retail, mass affluent, high net worth, ultra high net worth and family office market segments. In conjunction with five other Financial Services Group Practice leaders, Mr. Gow co-managed a $100M+ portfolio of professional services engagements worldwide.
Mr. Gow's entrepreneurial experience includes successfully establishing and running two technology services firms, a portfolio management product endeavor, and a fundraising management system product. His professional experience includes functioning as a management consultant specializing in financial analysis and strategic formulation.
An acknowledged expert in the wealth and advisory arena, Mr. Gow routinely addresses industry conferences and contributes regularly to industry events and publications. In addition to his focus on wealth management, he contributes in the areas of client profiling, pricing, compensation, advisory tool usability and adoption. He holds an undergraduate degree from John Hopkins University and advanced degrees from both The Wharton School and Harvard University.
