Monica Syrdal

Monica Syrdal is a partner at Advokatfirmet Hjort DA since May 2008, specializing in competition law, intellectual property rights, and media law. Previously, Monica served as in-house legal counsel for Telenor from 2000 to 2008, advising on media law, intellectual property law, IT contracts, and competition law for the Broadcast division. Earlier experience includes roles as an attorney at Thommessen, a national expert at the EFTA Surveillance Authority, and a deputy judge at the Nedre Romerike District Court. Monica began their career as an associate attorney-at-law at Thommessen, focusing on competition law and intellectual property rights. Education includes a law degree (Cand. jur.) from the University of Oslo and a diploma in competition law from King's College, ongoing since 1996.
