Miquel van Smoorenburg

Miquel van Smoorenburg has extensive experience in the field of network engineering and Unix systems, currently serving as a Technical Expert at XS4ALL Internet BV since January 2009. Miquel has been a Debian developer since 1995, maintaining packages such as elvis-tiny and liblockfile. Prior roles include Senior Unix/Network Engineer at XS4ALL Internet from 2005 to 2008, where responsibilities included network design and hardware deployment, and co-founding Cistron Internet B.V., where Miquel contributed to building the company from its inception. Miquel also holds a propadeuse degree in electrical engineering and computer science from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, completed between 1988 and 1992.
