Thijs Brits

Thijs Brits is a Development Team Lead at Adyen since October 2017, leading the "AML" team in building machine learning systems to combat financial crime. Previously, Thijs served as a Machine Learning Engineer, focusing on streamlining the machine learning feature life cycle and open-sourcing a Feast plugin for Spark. Thijs also worked as a Data Engineer/Scientist, applying machine learning for monitoring merchant behavior. Thijs's earlier experience includes a Data Science Graduate Research Internship at Accenture in the Netherlands, freelance web development and tech consultancy for over 20 clients, a Project Manager position at De Kleine Consultant, and a Consultant role at Stuvia. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Information Studies: Data Science and a Bachelor's degree in Information Science from the University of Amsterdam, along with a VWO diploma from Keizer Karel College.
