Thom Janssen is a seasoned product manager with extensive experience in the payment and cybersecurity sectors. Currently at Adyen as Product Manager for Local Payment Methods since January 2017, Thom previously held the role of Product Owner for Fraud and Cybersecurity at ING, overseeing the migration of end-user authentication systems and the implementation of fraud analysis applications. Prior experience includes serving as Implementation Manager for Mobile Payments at UL, where Thom acted as a senior business consultant and project manager in transaction security, and as a Senior Business Consultant for Mobile at TNO, engaging with leading mobile operators on various strategic initiatives. Thom also contributed as a Research Fellow at the University of Tokyo's Department of Astronomy. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Astrophysics from Utrecht University and participation in the Japan Prizewinners Programme.
