Kenneth S. Wilmot

Wilmot joined Associated Electric in late 2010 as senior manager of plant operations, bringing 25 years of utility experience with a primary focus on operations. In January 2012, he was named director of Power Production.

Previously, Wilmot was with International Power in Chicago and oversaw its generation assets in four states. His 20-plus years with Alliant Energy started in energy delivery, focusing on electric and gas distribution, and grew to include information technology, operations manager, plant manager, regional director overseeing 10 generating stations, and then overseeing Alliant’s engineering, energy marketing, and compliance activities.

Wilmot has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn. In 2014, Wilmot completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. He has been a member of the Association of Edison Illuminating Companies since 2011 and has served on the RMEL Board of Directors since 2016.
