Neal Gates

Neal Gates is currently a Technical Director at AECOM, a role they have held since 2023, following various positions including Principal Ecologist and Associate Director. They served as the Assistant Warden at North Ronaldsay Bird Observatory from 2003 to 2004 and worked as a Freelance Ornithologist between 2004 and 2006. Neal has also been a Principal Ecologist and Senior Ornithologist at RPS Group from 2014 to 2015. They hold a Master of Science in Applied Ecology and Conservation from the University of East Anglia and a Bachelor of Science in Countryside Management and Ornithology from Bishop Burton College.
