Neil Blagburn

Neil Blagburn is a Programme Delivery Director at AECOM with over 21 years of experience in project management, including 13 years focused on delivering complex railway and construction programmes. They are currently overseeing the Northumberland Line Programme, aiming to restore passenger rail services between Ashington and Newcastle. Previously, Neil served as Head of Renewals and Metro Development Director at Nexus, successfully leading significant investment programmes and achieving compliance and delivery efficiencies. Neil holds a Master of Science in Project Management and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, both from Northumbria University.
