Peter Cowley

Peter Cowley is a Technical Director specializing in Aquatic Ecology at AECOM, where they have led the nationwide Aquatic Ecology team since 2017. With 10 years of experience in the environmental sector, they have advised the construction and regulatory industries on environmental mitigation and legislative requirements. Peter has a strong background in aquatic ecology, focusing on invertebrates, fisheries, and invasive species. Prior to their role at AECOM, they served as a Senior Ecologist at RPS and held various positions as a secondary science teacher. Peter earned an MSc in Conservation Biology with distinction from the University of Derby.
